Swimming pool.

The private swimming pool is kidney-shaped, with underwater lighting and has fantastic views across to the valley opposite. It is 13m by 6.5m and is 1.4metres deep. Caretakers regularly monitor the filters, ph and chlorine levels. It has one solar heating panel. There is also a poolside solar-heated shower, for use before swimming to remove sun cream. There is fencing around the tiled pool sun deck, with gates on both entrances, to help avoid any accidents with small children. However, the pool and any other potential hazards are to be assessed by visitors for risk to any of their party. We can take no liability for any incidents that may occur.

Central Heating

There is an underfloor heating system with a thermostat in each room that can be adjusted as you wish during the colder months. The 2 open fireplaces burn lots of logs and provide plenty of additional heat. As does the wood-burning stove in the Villa. There is a plentiful supply of wood for burning.

Water

We have our own water supply that comes out of the mountains some 500 metres away. It is perfectly drinkable straight from the tap. We have recently had it tested for purity, and it was 100%. The company didn't believe it and tested it a second time…same result!

Miscellaneous

There are sunbeds, sunbed mattresses, sun umbrellas, tables and chairs together with a barbeques and utensils. We also have our own Boules court (Boccia) in a level shady spot. In the houses you'll find metal boules, books and games for all ages as well as the snooker table. A cot, playpen and high chair are also available.

Wildlife

There are wild boar in the woods around us and also porcupine. Plus the usual deer, fox, pine martins. On the house walls (outside) lots of different shades of lizard, three toed skink, lovely butterflies and all sorts of other wonderments for the natural history observers. Now that the hunters have stopped shooting the song birds in our locality, the bird song and especially the dawn chorus is extensive. Please note that although wild boar are very timid and normally stay well away from humans (as they usually get shot) they can be very dangerous. So, whilst seeing one is a bonus, do not approach.
